Tarantino presents The Revelations featuring Tré Williams

Tarantino has a new film coming out The Man with the Iron Fists, a martial arts film directed by RZA. The film’s score is composed by RZA and Howard Drossin. In developing the score and the official soundtrack, RZA turned to Tarantino for help. The two collaborated before on Kill Bill.
The Soundtrack to the upcoming film will feature 15 songs, including several original recordings by Kanye West, the Wu-Tang Clan, Talib Kweli, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and collaborations by RZA with The Black Keys and Flatbush Zombies. And this new piece of work by The Revelations, a band formed by singer Tré Williams and producer Bob Perry.
Williams, born in Florida, got his break appearing on the title track of Petey Pablo’s album Diary of a Sinner: 1st Entry. In 2006, Williams was featured on Let There Be Light, a track taken from Nas’ successful album Hip Hop Is Dead. The band’s music gets its inspiration from vintage soul records, late 60s early 70s. After the release of their Deep Soul EP in 2008, came two full-length albums, entitled The Bleeding Edge (2009) and Concrete Blues (2011). For this OST the band bring their own rendition of William Bell’s Stax classic I Forgot To Be Your Lover. Pure Soul amidst the Hip Hop heavyweights.
